Policies and Tuition

When students enroll, they are reserving their place in the studio for contracted commitment of the entire year, September of current year through August of the following year.  Students are expected to take lessons through the summer (at least 6 in order to hold on to their spots for the following year).

The studio follows Fairfax County Public Schools inclement weather policy.  If school is cancelled due to inclement weather, your lesson will be canceled with a make-up, not a credit.  Students will have no lessons the following holidays:

  • Labor Day Weekend

  • Veteran’s Day

  • Thanksgiving Break

  • Winter Break

  • Martin Luther King Day

  • President’s Day

  • Spring Break

  • Memorial Day Weekend

  • July 4th Week

Tuition covers not only the actual lesson time spent with the student, but time preparing for each student as well.  I spend time to research and purposefully choose repertoire that will meet the needs of each student.

Tuition is paid monthly by the 1st of the month and is non-refundable.  Either cash, check or online payments are accepted.

 Lesson Fees are as follows:

  •  $35 for 30 minutes

  •  $50 for 45 minutes

  •  $70 for 60 minutes

Late Fee of $25 will be added to late payments.  $35 will be added to bounced checks.

**Students will be charged $10 per year (collected at the first lesson) to help maintain studio costs such as piano tunings, music subscriptions, studio recital fees, etc..**
